About the North Central Chamber of Commerce

Mission Statement

The North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization whose mission is to represent and to lead the business community by providing advocacy, services and business development opportunities that increase member profitability and promote prosperity in the north central Connecticut area.

Message from the President

You will find that many of our members will provide you with the products and/or services that you are looking for and that they are your friends and neighbors right here in North Central Connecticut • East Windsor, Enfield, Somers, Suffield, and beyond. Your support to these members is and will be appreciated.

As I continue into my second year as President of the Chamber; we have assembled a superb Board of Directors and Executive Board to move forward in meeting your business needs. We continuously update our website at www.ncccc.org and hope that you will use it as a resource as we strive to meet your e-commerce needs as well. Please read those email blasts that you receive as they are your way of knowing what events are in the works and on our schedule. Our staff; Larry Tracey (Executive Director), Lucille Deshaine, and Melissa Regini, are always ready to serve your needs • and, of course, our vast number of volunteers who serve on the many committees we have to further support your needs. I thank you all for your service to the Chamber and its many events that provide our membership with aids to their business development.

In 2009, the Chamber added 57 new members; I encourage you and the existing membership to stay active and get involved in the many events that the Chamber hosts to assist in the development of your business. We want to see you and your business prosper and grow. We provide advocacy, services, and business development tools to assist you in the growth of your business. Please make a point to attend an event whether it is a Business After Hours, a Breakfast Connections, a Ambassador Networking Luncheon, the Annual Business Expo, our Annual Picnic, our Annual Home and Product Show, or one of our two Annual Golf Tournaments • you will be glad you did. And you will even meet some of your friends and business associates along the way. We are always looking for additional volunteers for the many committees that make the Chamber what it is • Your Chamber.

Thank You and remember to Get Active, Stay Active, Be Involved.

Edward J. Palomba • President

North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce

Message from the Executive Director

The past year has proven to be another growth year for the North Central CT Chamber of Commerce.

Our membership grew by 57 new members. Our Past President, Fran Walenta, Allied Community Services provided strong leadership and awareness in helping the chamber continue to grow both in numbers and in stature. Many of our new members indicated they became members because of the opportunities provided by the Chamber to foster growth, sound business programs and the ability to meet new potential business clients.

The programs offered out to members included the Annual Home & Product Show, Annual Golf Tournament, Breakfast Connections, Business after Hours, the Women's Scholarship Tournament, Networking luncheons, and the Annual Meeting. The NCCCC now provides a total of $6,500 annually to scholarship recipients from each high school in our service area as well as Asnuntuck Community College. All of these programs provide our members the opportunity to network with other chamber members which is the backbone of any chamber. With continued growth of membership in our own organization, we are embarking on an expanded presence in the ERCCA, East of the River Chambers of Commerce Association. The future of chambers in regionalization and ERCCA of which we are a Charter Member, is the organization that provides the opportunity to network with over 3.800 businesses in twenty different towns east of the river.

As the Executive Director, I am honored to be associated with such a fine group of Directors. Their commitment to the membership is exemplary and the current board is focused on providing the programs and vehicles to help generate growth in our chamber. I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to the Officers, Board of Directors, and the entire membership of the North Central Chamber of Commerce for their support and energy.

Respectfully Yours,

Larry Tracey,
Executive Director
